Gen5

I think I have a bad strut in the front (driver's side) and am thinking about getting some KYB GR2s. I'm on TRD springs.

Would it be a problem to just replace the front two struts with the GR2s and leave the rears on stock struts?
Sorry for (sort of) thread-jacking.

Then i changed the struts and the ride got really rough. I had three different mechanics take my car for a drive and they all said the same thing. What i thought was bounce is just stiffness because of the combination of the 17"'s and the KYB's. They all said that the KYB's are an excellent strut, and the ride is harsher because they are higher pressure struts than stock ones. Either way I'm either going to have to get used to the ride harshness or maybe take out the kyb's and put monroe's in. The handling is excellent though.

aah, now I see.

Basically, the KYB's possibly would perform better than stock (hence the more stiffer/bouncier ride) however, what you wanted was to remain stock soft/firm?

Besides. what was the reason for changing out the struts (if already answered, I'm sorry)
Cause this is the Gen 5&6 forum, I doubt the car is that old...
