oooh i thought you were supposed to have something to hold up the brake assembly =X
looks good, but you should get a window tint
I was afraid of that, but the control arms and such held it up fine.
I wanted to get window tint, but NH law says that the fronts can not be tinted, and the rears can be no darker then 35%. So it didnt really seem worth it to get it tinted.
yeah i'm a little confused as to why those sway bar links gave us such a hard time still new car and all. might have been the material they used. it just doesn't make sense i've never had an issue like that before with a toyota. it is possible that they were over torquqed from the factory too. the other side worked out fine for some reason.
i'm glad the end results came out like you wanted them too geoff. i'm sure your enjoying it even more now. let see some pics in a few days or so since that will have been a weeks time. they might settle out a little more.
Ya, even though it sucked when we went to work on the last spring/strut assembly, the overall result was great. Even with the $80 part and stuff it still worked out to be cheaper, plus I got a feel of how to do similar things in the future. It's always great to work on a car.
I'll take a few pics after washing it, since it's pretty dirty today. I've already put on a couple hundred miles, and I got an alignment done a few days ago to (which btw was almost identical to the before, except the camber was a bit off I believe).
I just hope getting run off the road by a drunk driver and hitting a pothole doesnt effect it :-/ I hate drunk drivers.

If you look at my car, I have 50% in the front, and 20% in the rear. Even at 50%, it still looks a lot better, so 35% should be somewhere in between mines, I think it should look much better than no tint at all.

That's why I always find a place to use that has a lift. No jack games for me. Put it up on the lift, and use a tall floor jack to support the brake/control arms.
Gives you a ton more space to work and see things, also.
Looks good. The first picture looks like your front wheel/axle is out of whack. Like it sits too far back in the wheel well (like my Jetta did after an accident and poor repair job). Maybe it is also shadows.
