5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
This is nothing new. 30 years ago back in the East LA barrio, folks spent their paychecks on crap like this and other things. Let's see, they bought little tiny steering wheels that they couldn't turn, hydraulic shocks to bounce down the road and scrape sparks on the high spots--that was especially cool, weld over the door handle holes--used remotes to open the doors. The fun came when the battery died and they had to shoot out the window to get in with their SNS. Ah yes, those were the days. Most of those guys still don't have two dimes to rub together and still don't get it. If some 23 year old guy puts his 500 bucks in a mutual fund and forgets it instead of crap like this, when he hits retirement age he might be able to retire on it, but then 23 yo guys never think about that stuff.

^Sure they do. I'm 21, and I've got several investments that I've "forgotten" about. But then again, I'm getting my Finance degree in a year, so... yeah.
As far as the car goes, get rid of the 8500K, get rid of the undergrlow. Both suck.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
on the note of ricers, i was just at the store and someone in one of them "sport" Saturns pulled inbeside me and had window graphics that said "I'm a racer bitch!" i wish i had white paint to changeit to Ricer!
But then again this causes unnecessary attention which can also leads to accidents. This is why it's illegal to have them on at night.
I mean if he operates them within the law, of course. No foul.

Always got something else in mind...
It's much worse on sport cars enthusiast forums such as clubrsx, newcelica, nasioc, evom, etc, my350z, g35driver, etc. They are very critical and will flame you like there's no tomorrow.
lol so mean guys. haha thats alright ill take them off. just a note though. i live in texas and in the texas traffic law, you are allowed to drive with underglows UNLESS the colors are red or blue because those colors are reserved for emergency vehicles. I installed white. Yeah i thot it would be tight but ill take them off no big. thanks guys

Haha, after a while of being into this kind of stuff, people can be a bit bitter haha. Its just that underglow is played out and out of style now, and is reserved for those still stuck in the fast and the furious stage. The cleanest way to turn heads on a car is suspension, wheels, and some other good aesthetic mods.
As far as the 8500K bulbs go, the reason I say that you should get rid of them is because 8500K puts out very little light compared to something like 4300K. Its a common misonception among enthusiasts that they think that the higher the Kelvin rating, the more the output, when in fact it is quite the opposite. I would never recommend anyone to get anything higher than 6000K. And even at 6000K, you're putting out about 900 less lumens of light than at 4300K.

Wolfpack,
You really live in Plano? Before you take them off, go over to east Dallas and drive up and down Buckner Blvd a couple of times at night with those things on. Make sure you go all the way past Elam, and make sure the 9 mm is ready in your lap. For what you paid for that stuff you need to get a little excitement out of them and that isn't going to happen in Plano. Yep, South Buckner---they'll fit right in over there, but do borrow some cops jacket and kevlar helmet before you turn them on.....don't want to get hurt or anything.
