5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I posted this over in the Hybrid section, but it might be useful to anyone in here who is concerned about bottoming out their Gen6 when using TRD springs.
Wow, that actually looks pretty good, not bad at all. Great idea with the SE rears and TRD fronts. I didn't know SE springs actually lower the car, I thought they were just stiffer then stock springs.

The factory SE is lower than all other Camry trims by 0.4", but not entirely by the springs. The springs, shock absorbers, bushings, etc, are all different.

Um.....different spring rates. The TRD springs and SE suspension weren't design for mixing...
That is true for the designed application on a non-hybrid. But the TRD springs are not designed for the hybrid, so by using SE springs in the rear, who is to say that I didn't create a matched set of lowering springs specifically for the hybrid? I wouldn't suggest doing what I did to a non-hybrid, I just posted my results as information for anyone who wanted it.
