Anyone have pics of their 18" TRD wheels with lowering springs?
First post here, and after finally saving enough $$ for a hefty down payment I finally got my 2007 V6 Black Camry SE with gray leather & the 18" TRD wheels. The car also came with the door sill "enhancements", even though it didn't say anything on the window sticker. Weird.
I can't seem to find pics of anyone with these wheels who lowered their car with either the TRD springs or Eibach. If anyone has done so please post them up, or post a link. I'm quite torn whether or not to lower the car for two reasons...
1. I'm not 18 anymore and the time and effort I remember with my 1997 Accord is something I don't want to go through again, or pay someone to do it for me.
2. The TRD wheels are only 18x7.5, so even if I lower the car it won't fill up the fender wells, which I hate.
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and I promise when I get my tinting done
I'll head up to Boulder, Colorado (working in Colorado during the summer) and take some nice pics of the car.
I could definitely tell the diff between the factory TRD 18's (already on the new car) and the stock 17's on another when I recently test drove two 2007 Camrys. The 18's rode a little harder and they definitely wanted to follow the lines in the road and pull on the steering wheel (tramlining). The "pulling" is probably just a trait of low profile wheels/tires. They'd be a biatch to clean, also.
YES....they are a biatch to clean!!!!! But you cant really tell when they are dirty
Here is a quick pic that I took this morning outside of work. I apologize for the car being dirty but it has been raining today. I am lowered on the TRD springs....
If those are port installed they should be 225/45/18 tires. I was considering upgrading to 19" Axis Shines or possibly some TSW wheels and selling these wheels but havent given it any serious thought yet.
Those TRD springs actually look nice with the TRD wheels. You've got me considering upgrading now TRD 98.

Thanks. I actually purchased the wheels and tires seperate because it saves you about $800 ($2100 from the dealership is insane). However, I did stay with the recommended Toyota factory tire size which is 225/45/18 and they are Kuhmo Ecsta SPT brand tires. If you would like any other pictures, let me know and I can run outside with the camera today.
I had 17" TSW rims on my other car, i loved them. they looked way bigger than 17" though, i think because the tires themselves were so low profile. Pics of them are on my car domain page, page 2.

Excellent! Nice choice on the color too. How does the side profile look like? Do the wheels fill in the gap somewhat, or are they still not wide enough to do that?
Looks like a two finger gap all around. That's not too bad. Not too low, not too high. I thought my stock height was fine, but after seeing this pic I might just go ahead and spend the $$ I would have on the Xenondepot HID system and instead lower my car with the TRD springs. I hear Hoen has some decent 4000K bulbs, anyway.
trojan please rip those body side moldings off and burn em.. back to the wheels i like the trd wheel but i think that a larger wheel would look best rather than lowering the veh .. but since youve allready got the trd wheels maybe a larger tire is your best solution
