9011 HIR bulbs - for Gen 5?

I read about the 9006 to 9005 conversion for the gen5.

Also saw that the 9011 HIR bulbs are equivalent to the 9005 and are better.

Anyone tried putting 9011 HIR bulbs to repalce the stock 9006?


also If I want to just do the 9005 replacement, what 9005 bulb should I buy. I am told that silver stars do not last.

I had Silverstars in my Z24 and they lasted longer than the car. And i just put Silverstar Ultra's in my Camry. only had them a week. I love them! great light output

Bulbs life would last longer with the Silver Stars than the HIR bulbs.

i'm thinking of buying those , but i dont want the annoying blue lights the honda guys are running around with i would like something like bright white with a slight bluish tint.

That's what these have...bright white with a bit of bluish tint
