Angry A couple of gay things on the 07

I hate the transmission flare

I hate that there is no aftermarket parts for the car

I Have searched for hours for a cold air intake, but no luck

Another thing is that this is my second transmission due to the flare, but it still flares.

Bluetooth: I hate that I have to re-pair the phone to work with the car every time i turn on the car. If I go to select phones it still finds the phone but does not connect

HELP!!!! HELP!!!! HELP!!!!

P.S. Can't believe that I paid $30,000 for these problems

What transmission flare?

My transmission issues usually last all of 1000ft or so during the first, at most, three 1-2 shifts. It's goes into gear a bit harsh but double clutching makes it all better. After that, the shifting seems fine. I think it's just that the oil hasn't reached the gears, warmed up, or whatever. My understanding is that the oil is thick flows like molasses when cold so it might not get drawn or splashed up to all the gears.

As for aftermarket mods and CAIs, that's not Toyota's fault.

there is a CAI. i recall reading it somewhere. fujita or something.

as for aftermarket parts, what are you looking for?
i have emailed acouple of companies already like tein and tanabe and h&r, they are all coming out with suspension parts for the 07.

for lowering springs, u already have several options, eibach, trd, h&r and sprint.

and yes, it is not the fault of toyota if we dont have any aftermarket parts

The bluetooth thing is probably a setting on your phone. when connected to the car, go through the menu settings, selected the "HANDSFREE" and there's probably an option in there that says auto-connect.

^^Same here, must be a phone setting cause the phone connects no problem everytime it is within range of the car.

Cold fliud or not, a trans flare is not acceptable. Especially if its already been replaced.

My wife was behind me on the highway and I called her and the bluetooth had her on the Camry radio.
My cell isn't bluetooth ready..
Her's is set up in the Camry.
So to talk she had to get about a half of mile behind me so she wouldn't be on the radio speakers.,.

I dont like the placement of the door closer handle. It's too far back and gets in the way of me resting my left arm on the armrest which is probably ~ 25% of the time im driving You can grip it but thats not comfortable. I prefer when there is just a gap in the left armrest used close the door. Other than that the Camry is the best midsize sedan out there imo

Dude, the car is 1 year old. What do you expect? Most companies that are even remotely interested in the Camry haven't even had a chance to do R&D. Have some patience. Its not like performance companies are dying to jump into the Camry scene.

There's no CAI for the Gen 5... and there probably won't be one for the Gen 6. You want a CAI so badly? Make one yourself. Several Gen 3 guys have made their own.. its not that difficult.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

about the performance parts issue let me just clean this up..

THE CAMRY IS A FREAKING SEDAN NOT A RACING VEHICLE

you want a race vehicle? go grab a VW Gti or an STi subi, or even a late 90s civic and rice it out

The Camry was designed to fit the demograph of people with small families, or people who want something bigger than a Corolla, and a little more Lexus without the price

Thats who the Camry was designed for, granted, anyone can BUY the car, but you have to realize that aftermarket parts are going to be made first for cars that have the ability to be modified, and then has a market to sell to, if theres no market, why lose money in making parts?

Any Trans flare you are experiencing should be handled by a mechanic, especially if its a brand new car, this should be covered under warranty, and if its happening on a 2nd transmission, then prehaps something is causing the transmission to flare (or... coming to a recall near you!)

On Bluetooth, check with your phone manufacturer, because it sounds like an isolated problem with just your phone, maybe theres a firmware upgrade

Sorry to come off so harsh, but think about what you want, before you purchase it, do research on what you want to do with the car to see if there are constraints to do it or not. Also test drive vehicles for a good period of time before you buy.

I rented an 07 Camry from Budget for a month (my corolla got written off), and loved it, however I wouldn't buy a new car outright before I had the chance to drive it for at least a weekend, if the dealer doesn't want to coop, then he doesn't need to sell the car that bad, or if I want it that bad, I'll rent it.

^This is the other alternative, if you want something that bad, produce the part yourself or pay a shop to produce it for you. Any decent exhaust shop can recommend a place that does custom work, or they may do it on site
