5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
What does everyone think I should be selling my stock tires for? 12,000 miles on original tires before I switched over to my axis wheels.
then does anyone have the clear brs on their front end of the car? I found one on ebay for 90 bucks. After washing my car this weekend and seeing some chips in the hood with a few dings from racks I thought about getting one.
Thoughts?

i would say less than 300, if not less.. it really depends what your tread looks like.. 12k with city driving looks a lot diff than 12k with hwy driving. and IMO i wouldnt want to buy used tires unless i was in a real money pinch..
On eBay stock stellies and hub caps arent going for anything, since everyone has them. The tires may be worth something, but I doubt anyone would pay good money for the wheels unless they actually need them.
don't get a clear bra off ebay unless it's the 3M clear bra.. Toyota does the 3M clear bra for 200 installed i believe..here anyway, or almost any tint shop does them as well. when i got my windows done someone was getting the 3M bra done one their BMW and it looked like a pain in the ass to install. but it looked good once it was installed, couldn't tell it was there.
It really depends on the tire brand, size, and condition.
But really, you probably won't get much unless they are a specialty tire.
For instance, my Camry came with Bridgestones... and from what I read online, the life expectancy for them are 20-30K miles (If that). They cost around $100 each brand new. If someone were selling a used set with 12,000 miles on them, I would bet the highest they could get for them would be $125.... on a good day.... (And that may be a bit high).
On the other hand, I put Goodyear Comfortreds on my previous Camry... roughly $100 each. Those tires are known to go 60-80K miles. If I tried to sell them with 12,000 miles, I might be able to get $200.
The problem is trying to find a local buyer. (Shipping would be very expensive) A lot of people wouldn't feel comfortable buying used tires from someone they don't know. Plus, then they have to worry about having them installed somewhere.
Called the dealer, looking at $395 installed for the clear bra, and $12 bucks for the touch up paint for the few chips before it gets put on, the paint is supposedly color MATCHED to toyotas colors so you would see a difference.. I dont know about all that though cause it's impossible to get the same hue of a color each time you reproduce it
