Canada when I removed my spare tire....

Hi,

I have a 2005 camry with a 4 cylinder. Quick question.

Just yesterday, I just happened to be cleaning out my trunk an removed my spare tire from its place. I noticed that there were two holes (about 3-4 inches in diameter) on the floor where the spare tire sits on, and one was sealed with a rubber, but the other was open. The rubber lid was nowhere to be found. Is that how it's supposed to be? Or did anyone forget to put it on or left it out then forgot to put it back on again? I bought the car used last year.

thanks.

It could have been pushed through completely and been lost. These are drain plugs that can be popped out to drain water that might be inthe wheel well. Buy a new rubber one at the dealership. Shouldn't cost more than $5. You will need it though to keep moisture out of that area, especially if you live in a wet climate.
