Gen6 Different tail lights? Why?

Why does the Hybrid have different (color) tail lights than the CE,SE,LE, and XLE?

The hybrid has LED tail lights for energy efficiency. Something to distinguish it from the other trims.

he is speaking of the fact that the "red" is actually a different shade, more of a maroonish than bright red like ours. The reason is that the standard lights have a "chrome" reflector with a red lens in front of it, since the LED's dont need a reflector, not only is the lens red, but the "reflector part" is also red, thus the red "reflector" and red lens makes it darker than the "chrome" reflector and red lens. make sense?

Also the reverse light is twice as big as the CE, LE, SE and XLE.

I really like the LED tail lights, but im not a huge fan of the extra tall reverse lights.

^lol Why not get the LED part of the Hybrid Taillamp, and keep the current trunk mounted ones?

Why does the SE have a completely different grill that is not even similar to the other trims?

The different trims purposely have different looks to them, even if there is no functional reason to have something different.

Thats the problem, the red on the outer hybrid lamp wont match the inner non-hybrid lamp. It will not look good. Thats why more people havent done just that.

Don't worry, the Gen 6.5 will probably have LED Tails standard on the non-hybrid models to keep up with the accord!
