he is speaking of the fact that the "red" is actually a different shade, more of a maroonish than bright red like ours. The reason is that the standard lights have a "chrome" reflector with a red lens in front of it, since the LED's dont need a reflector, not only is the lens red, but the "reflector part" is also red, thus the red "reflector" and red lens makes it darker than the "chrome" reflector and red lens. make sense?

Also the reverse light is twice as big as the CE, LE, SE and XLE.

Thats the problem, the red on the outer hybrid lamp wont match the inner non-hybrid lamp. It will not look good. Thats why more people havent done just that.
