Gen5 2006 Camry Rear Deck Rattling, need help to stop

wassup everybody,

I installed sounds in my car when i first got it, but had rattling in the rear deck. I was wondering if anyone is experiencing this also. If so I was wondering what you did to stop the rattling. Please help me, I'm so stumped.

thanks,
dr. green

i would say remove the rear deck and sound dampen it.. if you dont feel up to taking off the deck, at least sound dampen the part of the rear deck accessible from the trunk. that will cut down the rattling a bit.

Thanks for you input, but do you mean when I take of the rear deck to sound dampen the plastic part and the inner metallic part of the rear deck also. Or just the rear deck itself? thanks

i would cover the metal parts, along with strips where it looks like the plastic meets the metal

dynamat is awesome, you could even try just some foam batting or that foam strip insulation stuff and put it any where the plastic meets a hard surface.
