5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
It's funny how they think it will take all day to install a set of springs. Anyway, you're better off getting it installed by a local auto or bodyshop. It should be around the $200 range for the install.
^Yeah, I agree. Either that or if you feel competent enough, do it yourself.

i almost fell out of my chair when i read $1000.00....
^I'm not surprised. The dealer doesn't go cheap on labor and labor time tends to be exaggerated.

Just find someone that lives around you that is able to install them for you but see if you can help them out. This way you learn how to change the springs on your car and it will also be cheaper. Good luck.
Yeah they claim its like 6 hours of labor. LOL! I got my dealer to do it at 4 hours of labor, at like $75 an hour. Only 4 hours what a steal!!! Honestly I think it would take a certified mechanic 2 hours max.

So check this. I have called three different Toyota Dealers and pricing ranges anywhere from $450 to $1500 for install. So much for consistancy....
When I was thinking about getting TRD springs installed at my local dealership, they didn't even know TRD made springs for the Camry. From that, you can pretty much guess that they didn't know what to charge either. If dealership guys don't know exactly what they are doing, they make up prices based on what they think the job might entail. I got lucky with this before though. I had my rear sway bar installed for $70 after calling and be quoted $200+ and then being told $105 by someone else. Sometimes their lack of knowledge can work in your favor.
