Canadian's are gettin raped, dollar has increased in value but prices haven't changed... http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/200...merdollar.html
For example:
Camry SE I4 MSRP in US: $21,140USD
Camry SE I4 MSRP in CAN: $28,050CAN 21,140.00 USD
=
22,723.51 CAD
United States Dollars Canada Dollars 1 USD = 1.07491 CAD 1 CAD = 0.930314 USD
Difference: $5326.49CAN
Ok so sure we may get a couple more features standard(i.e. rear spoiler)
and importing the thing across the border may be a bit(but they charge freight for that shit anyways)
Correct me if i'm wrong but Looks like rape to me

I wonder what's the cost of let's say buying an SE in the US and drive it over to Canada and try to register it there?
Perhaps it's worth the effort to save the $ difference?
I've checked this out, http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html
basically if we buy one and intend on exporting from US to Canada, we'd need to give customs 72hours notice minimum.
Make sureit is not on the restricted import list
it has DRLs
Metric Gauges
and at the border fill out a couple of forms pay 200 some odd for the RIV fee
and pay taxes on the price of the vehicle
All in all just the forms and changing the gauge would be an issue.
Never done it myself though so just speculating, woulda hafta do it once to know exactly what is involved.
most likely it would make a pretty big difference if everythign was planned out right.
if not planned out right it could end up costing more.

customs, taxes, forms all = $$$$$$$ It wouldn't be worth the aggrovation and stress. not for Camry anyway. If it were for a muscle car or some exotic maybe. but not for a car that you can purchase over here already.
