Odd Problem (electrical)

I have a 2003 Toyota Camry LE and have recently experienced a very odd problem. When I start the car, all the lights start flashing. The turn indicators flash, the headlights flash, even the dashboard lighting flashes. The engine also seems to struggle as it starts. When I turn off the car, the alarm goes off. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks for your help!

My first guess is a very dirty ground. Start by removing and cleaning the cables on the battery and the battery posts.

The situation seems to have gotten worse. The engine won't turn over anymore. The headlights and interior lights still work though. Any ideas? I have checked the battery and the cables are very clean. Also, the problem developed very suddenly.

Check the battery, alternator and starter first.

Then I would check the alarm system. If your alarm is aftermarket, then disconnect it. Then see what happens. It sounds like your alarm is screwed up.
