AMP install

So I just finished installing my amp. I decided to put it under the passenger seat, since that’s where the stock amp goes and cut down on wiring to the trunk. Also same side where the power wire comes in. After studying the wiring diagrams I found that the 3 of the 4 channels are located at the passenger side kick panel. I chose to cut them there instead of taking out the factory stereo and cutting the harness. If I ever sell the car I can pull the amp out quickly and reconnect the stereo wires under the seat. The I cut the left front wires at the left hand kick panel. The remote wire power came from the cigarette lighter in the console. I also terminated the ground wire under the console next to the shifter. I did not need a line out converter since the amp has high level inputs. Also the amp has a low level pre amp out put for another amp. Ex sub amp.

Once all the wiring was identified the install went very easy. Taking the bolts out of the front passenger seat makes it easy, also just rock the seat back and don’t take it out due to the seat air bag. I was not worried about it going off, I did not want it to set a DTC for it being disconnected.
I have Alpine R 6x9 in the front doors. I made mdf plates to hold them in place. The rear are Alpine S 6x9 which I also had to make mdf plates.

The amp is JL E4300M, marine amp. I picked it up at tweeter same specs as the std E4300. I had it sitting in the box since January.

The reason I left the seat in the car is that when I adjust the amp the car is running and if the seat is out the air bag light will go off. Plus pushing it back all the way is not really in the way. I just sat in the ground making all the connections, so it's a perfect height.

As for my engine bay. It's fine, it's not a show car. I have 21k on it now.
