what will Toyota parts dept charge for the center console & door wood pieces?
what will Toyota parts dept charge for the center console & door wood pieces?
The 5 pieces indicated in this picture....not sure about #5 at the bottom of the pic,
as my LE doesn't even come with a cover there.... I've take apart the center
consoles on my other cars. I'd rather get the stock parts that Toyota uses for
the XLEs, as opposed to using aftermarket wood trim kits....
A thousand bucks fort he aftermarket ones? Imagine what toyota must charge! Scour the junkyards, you will get it for a song. It might take a few weeks or a month til a car comes in that has your parts - to me, the cost of these parts would be worth waiting for, as one is bound to show up sooner or later. Or you can just pay a thousand bucks for these parts.
(BTW German debby its very helpful if you always state the year and engine type of your car if you want help when you post here.)

$899 for more pieces than Toyota gives you and the $350 matching steering wheel.
Is it a bargain?
Hell no,but it is compared to what Toyota will want for those 5 pieces and it's a complete package and maybe he'll get another 10-15% off with the group buy.
A junkyard purchase will take a long time and the pieces will be removed screwing up the backing and maybe the pieces.
You can buy full wood dash kits on eBay that are made to fit your specific model for under $200 shipped, but it wont include the steering wheel or the shift knob.
Plus, on your LE, you cant just add the door. You would have to replace the entire center console assy.

in that case you'll have to replace the whole center console because the little cubbies have the push-to-open doors on them...
i'll check on monday for you
I got this from my local Toyota dealer. The part$ dept manager came up with these part numbers:
Can you please confirm that these are the correct part numbers? My interior is ASH and
car is manufactured in Kentucky.
35970-06020-E1 $365 (wood trims around gear shift) 33504-33050-E0 $79 (wood shift knob) 55620-06060 $257 (cupholder with wood trim)
This dealer's parts dept charges $84 (no typo, I said eighty-four halibuts) on the '07
Camry's chrome bolt-on exhaust tip. (same identical tip only sells for $38 at a
well-known Toyota dealers' online parts store)

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!
The first and last part numbers, I can not verify from my printed parts list.
Although not too detailed the PANEL, CONSOLE UPPER for the USA XLE Ash is pt # 58805-06080-B1, List $167.82, your cost $116.02. This is the whole top part of the console that your numbers 2-5 are listed on. It is $32 list more than the LE Panel, console upper, so I would think it would have the trim/doors with it.
I can't believe your wood trim price quotes!!!!
33504-33050-E0 shows a Knob, Sub assy, Shift, $56.76 LIST, $39.24 Your Cost. Not shown on my parts list either.
I wish my car had the cup holders to the side like that. That way bottles and straws don't get in the way when shifting. Then again, it probably wouldn't fit next to my shifter like that.
Also wish my car had two power ports too...oh well. I guess I have to find a way to wire one more.
OK... I had to logon from home just because it sounds like the guy has some serious markup over list... it's not unusual for dealers have a markup over what internet lists as retail but this guy has some markup that is way out of line...
These part numbers assume that ASH means brown and you have an I4 Auto. The price probably won't vary much if i'm wrong.
58805-06080-E2 List is about $170...
My catalog shows that part as the entire top of the center console including the push-to-open cupholderS with wood trim. Your parts guy only looked up the one next to the shift lever... toyota is really weird about having the smaller pieces be more expensive than the whole thing... If you ever break the glass on your side view mirror, ask for the whole mirror after they quote just the glass... it'll probably be $20 cheaper. Not even joking.
35970-06020-E1 (he got that one right...) List is $310 (HOLY-FREAKIN-UNREASONABLE-PRICE-BATMAN!)
This is the shift knob trim and includes the piece right under the pocket underneath the HVAC controls (#2 in your pic).
33504-06030-E1 List: $58
Shift knob.
PTS18-33070 List: $64
Exhaust Tip. I'm not sure how internet dealers are charging $38... this is less than toyota's cost to the dealer... If it doesn't come in a white box, bubble wrapped with instructions and a white label on the end of the box with that part# and a barcode... it's not a genuine toyota part.
