my new Camy was produced in June '07... should I wax/polish it now? Or wait for new p

my new Camy was produced in June 2007, according to the label on the B-pillar.
This means it's less than a month old.... It was just unloaded at my dealer
an hour before I paid for it...

Should I wax/polish it now? Or wait for new paint to cure more completely?
That's what I was told by the dude who prepped the car for delivery....

I live in an area with a LOT of tree, and therefore, a LOT of bugs... in fact,
on my way home from the dealer, the front end of the car collected hundreds
of bugs.

Congrats on the new car.

I haven't wax mines also. A bird dropped got the car so I wet that area waited 1-2 mins and tried to wipe it off.... now it's has a few scratches because of that.

Don't like the original wax on it.

Wait a month before waxing the car. I hope it doesn't need to be polished for a long time.

I would wait until the end of the month before waxing the car if it was produced in June.

Absolutely do not wax or polish for at least a month, maybe 2 if you can wait that long. Toyota's tend to use softer paint, so they take a little longer to cure. Or you can do it now if you want the cool look of permanent swirls in ur paint.

wait a month or two, then clay it and wax it. There's not really a need to polish it, unless you're using zanio "polish"

I wouldnt polish it right away, as I doubt there are many swirl marks on it yet, and you will only wear away at the clearcoat.

A good idea to install 3m clear bra for a car so new

Probably could wait a month or so before waxing. However since she is brand new, i have to say if i had this car i would do one thing - i would spend the $200 or whatever it is, and install the clear plastic skin thing (i.e. clear plastic bra from 3m) to the front of the car now, while it is new and pristine! Especially if it is a Kentucky Camry, like mine 2002, the USA made paint is not nearly as good as the Japanese ditto - it is too soft and scratches SO easily! Dont wait, have this thing installed soon - (usually most people have it pro installed)

I asked the tint shop to do the Scotchgard film for front bumper/hood at the same time
he did my window tint... He told me to wait a couple of months because the factory paint
needs time to completely cure. (which mean August, since my car was manufacturered in
June)

use some 3m imperial hand glaze after you wash your car, it was made specifically for cars with new paint

I have used this for more than 4 yrs and especially on my dual sport bike i tend to go through pretty bad off road condition.I brought the 3M tape from canada for 20$ and this has held up some violent abuse including branch and bark when i threw the bike down.

I got the same material for 30$ and put it on the bumper how is this invisible mask better than the 20$ stuff...i wonder.
I even got a few pieces and lined the bottom of the front door where snow gets thrown in winter in turns by the tire.

I had to wash my new Camry for the first time today. Only drove it once since I bought it
last week. Has been sitting in the garage until the day before.

Anyway... that's when I felt the car for the first time.... oh, no... the dealer had already
waxed it just before delivery... it was as slippery as my uncle's well-oiled shinny bald head.
I thought waxing a new car was a no-no... why did the dealer do it....

I went with this company's film over 3M on the recommendation of my bodyshop friend.
Lifetime warranty against yellowing.

I use Zaino and don't have any problem with the edges.
