Gen6 RS3200 Alarm for 07 Camry SE

Has anyone intalled this RS3200 alarm ($89.00) on 07 Camry SE I4? It looks like a great deal. Is it hard to install? Thanks.

I think you need the RS3200+ GBS (Glass Breakage Sensor) one...

^That one may not work on your car. I think it's for older model Camry.

For 07 the proper alarm system is the RS3200plus which builds the control into the ignition key. You can install the system but it will require the dealer to flash the car's computer to make it work, so the first stop should be the service department to ask how much they are going to charge you for the work, and then the parts counter to get the part number for the right kit, and get their price for the parts as well. It might just be easier to have them do the entire job for a fixed price, unless you just enjoy laying under car dashes and reading instructional manuals. BTW, those keys are expensive.

My new car was missing the 2 remote keys when new. Even the dealer spent over 3 hours getting it programmed right. At one point, the manager said, he may need to put me in a loaner til he figures how to do it.

Luckily with a new computer, the tech was able to program it before he gave up for the day.

I guess the alarm install is not all that easy also unless you did a lot already.

sounds like it is really hard to install it. Maybe I should just get a Viper alarm.
