02 Camry V6 keeps stalling on highway and on roads

Hello!

I have a problem with my 02 Camry V6. When I drive on the highway with like speeds of 60mph, around that, for like 10 miles or so, the engine starts becoming rough for some reason like theres not enough fuel or like my tank is empty. The engine then just stalls, and I have to wait like a couple of minutes and pump the accelerator to start the car again. I took it to the dealer and they didn't know anything, they had me do a tune-up and I got my spark plugs, and fuel injection cleaned.

I don't know what might be wrong with it. I always fill up premium gasoline and always use shell gasoline v-power.

A 2002 car is too new to be experiencing this problems....

Thanks!

check, or get them to check the EGR valve....and clean it. That's my suggestion. Mine has a rough idle and has stalled a few times when reversing. but they checked it out and said i need a new EGR valve (600 bucks with labour). But TRD VVT-I and others suggested that i clean it and check the diaphram, which i've yet to do.

That's where I'd start.

If it's intermittent then the EGR valve diaghram is probably fine.

Try cleaning it and cleaning the port.

Hey thanks for replies,

This is the first time I have heard of the EGR valve. I found it under the hood easily but am unsure on how to clean it or take it out. What exactly is the diaphragm also? Is this a problem that could show up on the OBD computer? Also if I needed to get it replaced, would it be covered under warranty?

Thanks!
