Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Not a good idea. Best thing to do is to rent a steering wheel puller from autozone. When I was installing a stock fog lamp switch/turn signal stalk on my Gen 6, I tried using force to pull the steering wheel... it popped off, and the force caused me to pull just a little too much, and the steering wheel snagged on the air bag harness and messed up the clockspring. Had to get a new clockspring, which cost me $185 after my friend got me a mechanic's discount.
I don't mean rip the damn thing off, but it is on a little tight, and you will need to pull a little hard! I don;t think a steering wheel puller is necessary. I've changed steering wheels on my ES300, camry, and a few friend's Toyotas/Lexus before with no problem .. just be careful and conscious of what you're doing and you'll be fine!

^Haha, my steering wheel was on there pretty tight, so I almost had to put leverage with my legs to get it off. And thats how it happened. I mean, I know its sort of a freakish accident, but yeah... the next time I try to take a steering wheel off, I'm just gonna go out of my way to get a puller... 'cause... thats $185 down the drain, pretty much. In fact, the broken clockspring is still sitting here on my desk as a reminder.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

The thread title sounds like something that belongs in "Off Topic". But the wood looks really nice. I would do similar on my Gen 5 but I don't have that kind of cash for a wood wheel.
