Correct, they are H11.

Are you sure they were true HID's and not just white-ish bulbs?

You can get HIDs from all sorts of vendors, but if you want quality (at least as far as we know thus far), xenondepot is the way to go. But if you want to be absolutely certain that you're getting quality, then make your own... buy some Phillips ballasts, Phillips or OSRAM rebased H11 bulbs, make a wiring harness, and you're good to go. And please... if you do decide to get HIDs... nothing higher than 6000K.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

If I'm looking for BMW style HID, I should go for the 8000k correct?

If you are looking for that type, go with the 6000k. Anything higher will be more of a bluish/purple look. The higher you go, the more attention you will draw. Both good and bad. The bad being the ones in the black & white cars.

If you want BMW style HIDs, then you should get 4300K. Because that is what all BMWs, Lexus', and other OEM HIDs are.

6000K puts out a lot less overall light than 4300K.

^Kaixen does not make the stock HIDs for BMWs. That is an aftermarket kit in there. Stock BMWs use 4300K.

I understand that, thanks for clarifying though.

Just want a slight bluish light similar to what it looks like in that photo.

I would go with 5000K. I have those in my Camry and it retains most of the light output from a 4300K bulb, but gives it a bit more bluisht tint.

I'd go with 4300k if you're in the mississauga area, with the whole crack down on street racers and stuff in Ontario I wouldn't want to make my car look to cops that I'm a street racers with purple lights
