Who has lowest price on Toyota Platinum 7yr/100k miles extended warranty?
Who has lowest price on Toyota Platinum 7yr/100k miles extended warranty?
Anything is better than the $2100 that my dealer wants. (heck, I didn't even pay
half that amount when I bought the Mercedes extended warranty throught MBUSA)
They had the LOWESTprice for my Camry in my area.(among 11 Toyota dealers around
here)
Strangely(or not surprisingly), their prices on parts, service, and extended warranties
are really, really, really high. Their parts dept mark up prices 20 to 30 percent above
Toyota's list price. In fact, I was wondering if I should report this dealer to Toyota'
corporate offices. Isn't it against their rules to sell above the MSRP on parts/warranties?
I guess they're trying to recoup the money they lost due to the low new car no-haggle
prices?
Anyway, I would love to hear any suggestion on where I can get the Platinum warranty for a good price from a Toyota dealer anywhere in the USA.

I paid $880 and no sales tax for a 7/100 Platimum on my '07 XLE.
OMG! That's an awesome price! That's 60 percent off what my dealer wants.
(or $1220 cheaper) That's a lot of halibuts! Enough savings to buy 200
people free beers.....
What is Tro Dietrich's job at this Toyota dealership?(management, sales, or finance?)
These were posted on Edmunds several months ago but I haven't researched any of them yet. I did call Toyota of Greenfield serveral months back and he quoted me under $600 for my SE. I wonder if the price went up? If you find a better deal let us know. I'm interested in buying this also.
Midwest Superstores (Kansas, area code 620) $520
Mechanicsville Toyota (Virginia, area 804)$520
McGeorge Toyota (Virginia, area 804)$520
Stones Toyota (area code 208) $585
Dan Porter Toyota (area code 701) $590
Greenfield Toyota (Mass) $635
Crown Toyota (area 785) $685
Toyota City (area 763) $835

I doubt very much those prices are for a Toyota Platimum 7yr/100K mile warranty.
They were the 7 year platinum but I don't remember if they were the 75,000 or 100,000. It really doesn't matter though, I'm giving him other options of places to call that are know to have good prices on extended warrantys that may be cheaper than what you paid!

Thanks! I'll start calling those dealers next week.
Based on how I drive and keep my vehicles, I'm definitely going with the 7yr/100k Platinum coverage.

I understand.
However with the exception of the last price, those prices have to be for a 7/75.
No way for a 7/100.

Yup, Toyota of Greenfield, or Midwest Toyota Superstore, are going to be your lowest prices. They will both sell it to you at dealer cost. The current price (last I heard) was $990 for the 7yr/100k/$0 Platinum plan.

My dealership was really shady. They added the ext. war. (Platinum) for $1450 w/out my discretion. Being a first time buyer and because I was too damn excited about my new car, I didn't bother to read whatever paper I was signing. I was just putting my signature on 'em. Lesson learned; READ FIRST BEFORE SIGNING. Damn you Hamer!! CS wasn't all that great either BTW.

Call up and cancel it and then buy it again from Troy.
You'll probably make around $300-$400.
There's a service paperwork charge.
I don't know if it's less if you cancel in 30 days but I believ you can cancel anytime before the warranty kicks in.
