Gen6 Bluetooth Audio Streaming...

This question goes out to those of you who have the upgraded JBL headunit with Bluetooth.

I have a Treo 700w on which I do a lot of audio streaming from the internet. This includes everything from European radio stations to the Stern show from Sirius. So one big reason why I'm considering the upgraded JBL headunit is to do just that. Is anyone doing such streaming or does anyone know if this headunit is capable of such a feat?

absolutely NOT!! The only way o get your streaming audio from the Treo to the JBL is through teh AUX input on the radio ... you'd have to use a wire from the AUX port to your headphone port on the Treo. Sound Quality is very poor through the AUX port IMO & I'm waiting on VAIS Technology to come out with their new iPOD/DVD Adapter, then I'll have a sweet setup for digital audio into the stock headunit!

Yeah I knew about the AUX jack...to bad that a $1000 upgrade can't do what a $300 headunit like the Sony MEX-BT5000 can...

It is very sad! Aftermarket always has more features and technology, however stock units always LOOK the cleanest in the dash, especially with newer cars & more sophosticated dash openings!
