Gen5 Rear Driver side window failure 2005 Camry LE

Hi everyone . This is my first post here

My 2005 Camry's rear driver side window just stopped working about 2-3 months after we bought it. I searched around on the forums and couldnt find any answers. I think the only solution would be to replace the window regulator, but I wanted to know if there is an easier solution. I checked the fuses so that's not the problem, and that's the only window that doesnt work. It doesnt work from the driver seat master controls or the rear switch.

I didn't see where he states the mileage being less than 36,000 miles to get warranty coverage.

If you have less than 36,000 miles it is covered under the 3 year/36,000 mile factory warranty.

There are several things that it could be including a broken wire, faulty motor, faulty switch, bent regulator, etc.

There are online manuals available to look up information on this website. If you don't have the ability to properly diagnose the problem I would bring it to the dealer.

05 camry 2-3 months after purchase and it fails.. It's been 2 years and now you want to do something about it ?!.. Geeze... I hate to ask when your last oil change was. If you still got it under 36K miles, you got the warranty and take it now to the dealer to fix it. my 03 xle stopped working 2 months after my 3year warranty. I bought a replacement regulator/motor and dropped it in myself. I was pi$$ed off at my old motor and gave it a good whack on the ground. Just for the hell of it, I plugged the harness back in and it worked. Loose connection, stuck gear, whatever, but it works now. I took my replacement off and plugged the original back in. My 03 had less than 25K miles on it plus I probably oppened the window 1-2x a month since my todler is back there and got the windows locked. PM me if it truly is the regulator/motor and you passed 36K miles. I got one for you for cheap. OEM denso motor and rail.

50bucket, just maybe he bought the car used.

akg, you didn't state whether the door lock worked or not. I'll assume the lock works but not the motor. The first thing to check is the motor because it would be the easiest place to start. Tap into the wiring at the motor with an independent 12 volt source and check for function. There should be 3 wires at the motor. Two positive and one negative ground. If you can apply voltage at the negative and one positve and then the other positive and both raise and lower the window then those parts are funtioning and the problem is upstream. If it doesn't work then it is simple--replace the motor.
