Flat tire @ 4k miles!! Should I replace the crappy Toyo J33 tires with a better set?

Ok, I've usd the Search button but didn't give any good info. Anyway, I got a flat tire that cannot be repatched. I've been hearing that the Toyo Proxes 215/55/17R that comes stock with the 07 camry se is between $200-$300 a pop. Can anyone verify this before I go to the dealership tomorrow? I checked at Pepboys and theire Venturis brand is roughly $150, V-rated. Would it be better to stick with tires that are all the same brand and rating, or could I just get a no-name brand and put it on there?

Thanks in advance.

Usually, the tires the comes with the vehicle new does not last as long and it's low quality tire.

I recommend going to...

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do

or

if you have membership, go here...

http://www.costco.com/

They have very good selection of tires at low prices and excellent customer service and warrenty.

Thanks for the input. I was under the impression that the Toyo tires that comes with the Camry are excellent quality. So should I stick with the same brand then?

The Toyos that come with some Camrys are on the low end. They are not Proxes or T1rs.

The set that came with mine are the Proxes J33, summer performance tires. I'm trying to get as much information as I can today so I won't have to shell out $200+ on just 1 tire, when I can invest that on a new set that are more reliable. I've been researching these tires online and so far, not a lot of good reviews.

QQ. The thought of replacing all 4 tires on a 1 1/2 month old car saddens me. I've been reading up on other forums (Lexus) and they say the same about the J33s. Any recommendations on a good set of tires that doesn't cost too much?

Like someone said before check the wholesale club stores. Hell my OEM tires got pulled off real quick. For me good tires are worth the price

Just see if you can find one tire which closely matches at Discount tire or similar retailer and let it go until they all wear out.

Kumho is a good inexpensive tire, in my experience.

I got the Michelin's on my SE V6. I specifically asked for the all season tires because I knew the Toyos would be toast way too fast.
