Does the U660E have a kick-down cable?

This may seem pretty noobish, but I remember on my '94 V6 there was a throttle kick-down cable that could be manually adjusted, to determine how quickly the transmission shifted gears. I looked in the engine bay and I saw something similar, which is why I asked, because I'm getting annoyed with how slowly this thing switches gears. I downloaded the U660E repair manual and i'm flipping through it, but if anyone has any input it would help me from having to read through 350 pages, lol.

I complained about the slow downshift to my dealer and they suggested manually downshifting. It helps some, but would be better if it did it on its own.

I can manually downshift, but if i'm cruising along at 40 and want to pass, it's not really much quicker downshifting two gears.

It's all PCM/TCM programming. There is no physical cable to shift gears. Though the grear selector tells it what gear to be in it doesen't always listen. IE if you shift from 4 to 1 at 70 mph it won't do it, due to overreving the engine. It would be up to a 3rd party to come up with a performance computer flash, such as Hypertech to speed up the down shifting also can come up with more power. This is alll courtesy of your federal government. (for emission purposes)
