the only thin electrical in that seat is related to the airbag.

I counted more than 20 wires in 4 connectors under there....

(by the way, I was trying to see if I can stuff a Kicker amp under the seat... )

There are sensors to detect seat belt usage, weight, and seat position. They are used by the computer to determine whether or not to deploy the airbag.

Could some of them be for the JBL amp?

and power seat controls.

Don't know where the black box is in the Camry but it records speed, if you have your seat belt fastened, did the air bags deploy, etc if you get into a crash.

This info is getting used more and more by insurance companies and legal suits to determine what went on during an accident and who is at fault.
