In garage fuel delivery system

if i would want to pipe gasoline across my garage could i use PVC pipe or would the gas eat the pvc? If not PVC then do you think standard steel pipe would work?

My first thought was that this had to be a joke, but if the fire marshall passes on it, then maybe stainless steel.

I would advise against only becuase PVC is notorious for garnering static electricity, and in dry weather, a static buildup on a pipe moving gasoline could have disastrous results.
