Gen6 07 Camry AUX Cable (Advice Needed)

I had some concerns about the AUX cable situation.

I've had an AUX cable I bought off of Amazon Marketplace for cheap like a year ago. It works fine most of the time, but sometimes here and there the sound from my iPod only comes the speakers on the right side of the car and I have to adjust the positioning of the cable just slightly so it goes back to both sides full stereo.

I was wondering, is this problematic because the cable was cheaply manufactured? So if I just replace it with a better cable the problem should be fixed?

And also, I've seen the numbers 1/8in and 3.5mm for the cable type. Read on the forums here that the Camry uses 1/8in? Are 1/8in and 3.5mm interchangeable terminology in cable types? I thought I purchased a 3.5mm cable and it seems like kind of a loose fit (it stays fine, but nothing tight) in the Camry AUX jack. Does everyone have the same issue?

sounds like your cable isn't very good, or some of the strands inside are loose..
try another cable and see if it still happens
