turn the bass down on the head unit or the gain down on the amp.

Hello,

I was about to post a topic with the same problem. 2004 XLE Camry with the JBL Navigation / premium sound. At first I thought the dash tweeters were blown and I was going to replace them. But then I noticed that when the car is cold the speakers don't distort. As it warms up the dash speakers start to distort and sound crackly.

I have this problem with the radio and CDs. Could it be that the amp in the headunit is going bad? Is there a crossover between the door speakers and the dash speakers that might have gone bad?

I am considering taking it it to Toyota.
