Seems to me that it will make it easier to search for threads

It's not just Gen 5 & 6, it's the same with 1 & 2, 3 & 4, and 5 & 6.

Talking

there would be too many forums if they were all broken down into 1 generation each, and the community would be separated... it's better this way, more integrated...

I agree 100%. All generations should be separate!

I agree very much so. That's exactly what I thought when I joined these forums. It should al be separate so you can talk with other people regarding exactly the generation that you have/are interested in.

Gen5

I think that it's grouped together so the Gen 6 people can see how much more superior the Gen 5's are. Especially the Gen 5.5's.

That's not even including how ugly Gen 6's are.

You want more help with your questions, right?
I think the gen5s look sexy as hell, especially the SEs.

Gen6

when there's one forum for gen 5 and 6, it's easier to make the gen 5'ers jealous

I like it the way it is. It lets me know about the issues with the Gen 6 so I can be familiar with it if I ever trade in my Gen 5. Plus it gives me more to read instead of a few random threads. And everyone knows that Gen 5 owners are the smartest people on these forums. We help you Gen 6ers out.

I'm not sure about the ugly part but I know that the Gen5 don't have coolant problem!
btw, I like your new signature.
I like it group 5 & 6 together. Generally speaking, Gen5 members are more helpful (and bitching when it come to HID kit ) than Gen6. Keep it the way it is.

I like you idea...

I wonder if the mods will allow Gen 5 & 6 section to become
"Gen 5 & 6 & Bentley Continental GT" section...
(borrowing your sentence above)
This will let me know about the issues with the Bentley Continental GT
so I can be familiar with it if I ever trade in my Gen 6. Who knows, maybe
Paris Hilton, Bill Gates, and Tom Hanks will all visit and post info/problems
about their Continental GT....
