CD stuck in the radio

Hello!

Dad's got a 2002 with a stock head unit (the kind with a single CD and cassette). The thing won't play or eject the CD that's in there right now. Is there anything I can do to reset the CD and spit the disc out? Has this happened to anyone else?

Try removing the fuse for the radio or disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting it. Sometimes that works.

It's happened to alot of people.

I don't know if this still applies, but in older Toyota radios, you could push and hold the eject button with the radio off for 10 seconds and it will force eject.

is there a security code that will be required on this stereo? If so, I'll start looking for it before I resort to diconnecting the battery.

Same problem here. The radio is trying to force it out, but it gets to the edge where you can see the cd (very little piece, and then it pulls it back in. Whats wrong here? I have an 02 also.

If it was pirated music, it might be stuck on purpose. Last I heard the RIAA and Toyota were making a deal. Little do you know, your headunit has already alerted the FBI.

I like my stock radio. Its rich in bass. I'm a bass lover.

You should see my home theater system. Its one of those JBL high class systems. LOTS of bass. It really shakes the whole entire house.
