Gen5 2005 Camry Drivetrain...

Hello mates:

I believe I may have to change and replace my cv joint boot, but I will just buy the entire cv joint axle shaft assembly to save money, etc...

My question: unlike the strut assembly, shock absorbers, etc. where we have eibachs, TRD, Tokico, etc. when it comes to axle shaft assembly, are there any rankings as to who is the best maker or brand to buy? or do we just get any old rebuilt oem brand maker?

thanks.

I bought a no name "spray and pray" axle from an aftermarket outfit for my old Geo Prizm (Toyota Corolla). It sucked. I returned it and got a Toyota axle.

Don't skimp, get the part from the manufacturer.

This one from a google search is $80 bucks. 7 yr warranty; price a toyota part and see if this one doesnt seem reasonable all of a sudden.

I've used lots of remanufactured drive axles and never had a problem with them. Also napaonline are also good ones.
