This Question Needs An Answer!

Hey guys one of my friends just bought a 2003 camry but there's a part in the interior that's broken, he said he didn't see it when he bought it so when he went back to the dealer (Motorcycle Dealer) to claim that the part was broken they had a big argument over it, so long story short, my friends wants to know the name of that part so he can buy it but i have no idea about what's it called and neither do none of my friends, i told him that on my '07 camry that's the ''side air bag cover'' LOL but since he doesn't have side air bags in his camry i don't know how the heck that part is called, theres a pic below that i found googling around to show you guys what i'm talking about any help will be greatly appretiated thanks in advance guys!

what well exactly is missing, is it just the cover or is it the airbag itself? if it's the airbag, has that car ever been in a wreck before? it might be worth looking into...

Well i have no idea dude, i haven't even seen the car yet he told me about the issue today but according to him is ''broken or cracked'' he said he doesn't know how it happened 'cause it was like that when he bought it he just didn't notice it and i don't know how he didn't honestly...

Probably the car got into an accident and they couldn't replace the air bag and just left it as is or someone probably just broke into it and took it out, who the hell knows but as of now all he wants to know is the name of that part so that he can buy a new one and replace it.....c'mon now guys i know somebody knows the name of the part, help a brother out!

it is called the "windshield pillar trim". will cost him about $85 at the dealer, or $60 online.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

wow, this is the part i need as well. but the dealer gave me a quote of 200 so i never got it done

i found a place online that seems to have it. "W/o head air bag wndshld pl trim" but the picture doesn't look exactly like it . and do i need the fasteners? i don't know if it's allowed to post links here. if it is, let me know and i'll post the linke

and is it possible to install it yourself?

then my car will look whole again. it's been hanging there looking ugly for two years.

thanks
