Motorcraft 5w20 Synthic Blend For Camry

Besides are 07 Camry we have a 05 Crown Vic. Ford says for severe driving change the Motorcraft every 5k though I ususally change it out every 4k in the jungle Miami heat. The Camry we change out every 3k as all dealers here in Florida use conventional 5W30 Kendall for some unknown reason even though the oil cap clearly states use 5W20 like the Crown Vic.Was woudering if i use Motorcraft 5W20 in the Camry I could stretch it to 4k like the Crown Vic.

I callled a stack of Toyota dealers one day in Miami-Dade and Broward Countys and all use 5W30 coventional oil in all their Toyotas no matter how new it is.

I don't see why it'd be a problem if it meets GF4 requirements.

Reason dealers might only stock a few weights because it's easier for logistics.

5w20 is just fine for most situations but I would guess that given the heat of the summer, a 30 would be better, regardless of what Toyota might say. How about you guys in Phoenix? What do folks say about real thin oil when it hits 131 degrees in Gila Bend?
