Speedometer on a 2002-2004 Camry

On the 2002-2004 Camrys, the speedometer lay out boggles me. For instance, the thick white stands for 20 miles per hour. Then there are three thin white lines, then another thick white line that would obvioulsy stand for 30 miles per hour. My question is "What speed increments are the thin white lines (lines between 20 and 30 miles per hour) in? (i.e. 3's, or etc.) If anybody out there knows, please let me know, because I am just curious to know how the speed is supposed to be determined.

are u reffering to an LE/XLE or the SE case the cluster is different
your post is confusing...the speedo goes 20-40-60-80-100-120-140 if i am correct, and the bolder lines in between represent the incraments of 10 in between...

Gen5

the increments are obviously 3 1/3mph, since it's 10mph from one bold line to the next... don't ask me why they did it that way... personally i prefer the gen 6 speedometer where each hasmark represents 1mph, but i've learned to get used to the gen 5 one...
