5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I remember picking that issue up on the newsstand and flipping through it. As soon as I saw the idea behind the article, my thoughts were "Typical C&D article, they're going to spill their tears of love over anything with a Honda badge..."
I was surprised to find Camry as #2. Who knew?
Granted, they're still C&D, so they'll still heap praise on the Accord for being such a solid design, fun to drive, and how everything in the cabin is "right where it should be", "falls to hand easily", and how it does everything so well. Every objective comparison might show them at parity, but those subjective measures will tilt C&D toward the Accord. Yaaaay Honda. All praise the big, top-heavy "H"! Woo hoo for you!
Mleh.
But anyway, it's good to see the Camry doing well. Especially since I remember the days of the Gen3 when C&D had an comparo article about sport sedans, praising a lot abou the SE but saying it was "less than truly quick". Say what you want, I can still look at my Gen3 and feel proud of its design, so there.
Oh, but back on the Gen6... rock on, ya fast 4-door! And I'm looking forward to joining the Gen6 ranks soon myself!
