CAI for '03 Camry 4-Cyl

Hi all,

I'm new to the community and thought I might find some answers here. I've been searching everywhere for a cold air intake for my 03 Camry. Not too long ago I went to the dealer to see if they had it and a guy told me that they could order it. So I thought I could always come back to get it. Just yesterday I went to 2 different dealers and was told that Toyota doesn't make the CAI for Gen 5 Camrys. Some other dude suggested a custom job or to try Scion parts but I was a bit skeptic about the Scion thing. And the problem with custom jobs is that I don't even know where to go.

I'm pretty sure some of you have run into the same situation, and I was hoping I could get some pointers. Is there a place where to order the CAI? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Angelo

Add a K&N or TRD filter.

The Camry already has a CAI from the factory.

It takes the air from the front of the engine bay, I wouldnt consider that CAI since when your stopped you suck up hot engine bay air.

Thanks, I'm aware of that. I still wanted to get rid of the bulkiness of teh air box and have a nice, clean intake pipe. I have a strut bar installed and I was hoping I could add the mandrel bent pipe to enhance the look.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

If you want some guys to do some custom work and I see that you're in MD, these guys are the place to go.

http://www.amstuning.com/

They have the some of the sickest cars in the MD area, their techs even have some sick cars, the one tech on there named Jeramie has a yellow porsche which is this one.

http://www.detailsdetailsdetails.com...toFP1/FP36.jpg

They can do some serious custom work. His email is on the site, ask him about doing some custom work for you and see what they say. Tell him a guy named Dave that used to work at Details told you to see him. If he can't get it through the shop then I'm sure he'll gladly do some side work for you. Cool guy, very chill and laid back. He told me that if I did get a turbo in my car that he'd gladly slap it in there and get it tuned and new pipes and such. They do good work. Check them out.

Actually when you're stopped it still takes are from the same place which is from behind the grill outside of the engine bay. Toyota even put two round black decals over the holes in the core support which keeps hot air from bleeding up into the air intake opening.

There is no flap or valve that makes it suck in warm engine bay are when you are stopped.
