Will using Thule roof racks be bad for the rubber strip on the top edge of doors?

I have a set of Thule Rapid Aero roof racks. I just got the '07 Camry fit kit and it was a perfect fit.(obviously... )

However, I'm a little worried about that rubber stip on the top edge of the doors. With the roof racks attached, the rubber strips are pushed down against the chrome strips. Not enough to touch the chrome yet, but somewhat close. I only use the rack a couple of days per month...

granted i dont have an 07 camry, but ive been using roof racks for years without many problems. i leave mine on the car all year, so the car takes more abluse than using like you are. the only issues that arise are the clips left a wear mark on the door where make contact and the left a slight mark on the roof where the pads sit. never had any problems with the rubberstrips.
