so i really want to get started on this project, but i am having a hard time finding taillights in junkyards so i turn to you guys here !!
does anyone have any extra taillights off a 07 or 08 camry that I can buy and then we can pass around ?
meaning that i would buy a set, then when done with the retro, i would have my set to swap out with the ones i worked on, and we can continue the chain of passing around a set of lights, so we all win (or atleast the ones involved )
let me know what you all have for sale or if anyone has a complete set for sale, also please let me know if anyone would be interested in getting into line for my tail lights .... obviously the only thing is all chain bumped tail lights must be working, and have no cracks.

Both headlights and taillights have been on EBAY for sale...........

i know,
but doing something like a share on here is much better.
plus no one has to foot the initial hassle of finding all 4 parts, and buy / pay shipping on 4 lights. .....

how much will it cost to have the leds retro'ed into the tail lights? i want to do a price comparison
+1
out of curiosity but wouldn't it be easier to buy hybrid taillights and re-wire them to work on non-hybrid models? that's what i want to do to mine. i really like the look of hybrid taillight but i have read that its difficult and more expensive than just doing this. and i know all about the different shades of red which i have to say does suck.
^ some don't like the style of the Hybrid reverse lights, they look too big.
that would be me
i like the look of the non hybrid ones
but i want the leds
thus the retro
cost looks decent
leds cost me about 40 bucks
pcb board - 10 bucks
resistors wires and voltage regs - another 15 bucks.
alot of patience, and a custom look instead of 3x3 plain square look - priceless
plus i can also redo the 3rd break light at the same time to not look retarded with only 4 leds .....
stay tuned it will be like 3 months till i get around to it

The Hybrid's LED tail lights are too dim for LEDs.... I'm thinking something like the awfully-bright LED tail lights on the Range Rover, Cadillac DTS, or the Infiniti FX45. Heck, even the LED tail lights on the Toyota 4Runner & Highlander look brighter than the Camry Hybrid's LED tail lights, when brake lights come on...
The Hybrid's 9 little LEDs are just not bright enough. I'm thinking at least 16 one-watt Lumiled LEDs each side should be enough for a retrofit project?

that might be a tad over kill
i am using superfluxs so you can see how that comes out.
also have my set of fx's coming in the mail too, just to disecet and see what they use, and hopefully steal a control module .....
we will see
