Gen6 Anyone recommendations on H11 headlight bulbs?

Until I figure out how/who can retrofit my headlights with OEM quality HID projectors, I'm going to try upgrading the H11 lowbeam bulbs and foglights. Before I ask, I already know of the horror stories of cheap aftermarket bulbs such as Nokyas.

Ive heard some generally good things on PIAA and Hoen bulbs, although they are more expensive ($30-$70 range). I guess you get what you pay for (Nokya bulbs suck...oh wait I already mentioned that). Can anyone recommend a good high quality H11 bulb besides those two? I don't know about the PIAAs but checking Hoen's website I did see that their higher end bulbs require upgraded connectors. How easy would it be to replace the stock connectors with the upgraded ones to handle 70W or even higher? Not looking to have a purple light output, but obviously more white than the stock bulbs.

Nokya sucks.....? Yea sure....

What do you want from the bulbs besides a good brand and something cheap? I can say MTECs but I'm not sure if you'll like the color output or I can also say Lumincs.

get some narva h9 bulbs and with little modification to the bulb it will fit just right.

here are the differences if i can remember correctly.

stock h11 narva(philips) h9
watts 55 watts 65
lumens 1350 lumens 2100

i know the watts goes up but im keeping an eye on the harness to make sure that they will be ok. the wife and i are really happy with the outcome and for about $35 a pair included shipping i wouldnt go back for silverstars like on previous cars.

Where are you in SoCal? Since I upgraded to HID I still have my H11 sits in my garage. I'm not trying to sell them to you. If you want to give these HALO H11 a "test drive" I can let you do that. I'm in San Diego if you want to meet up.

i heard the nighthawks are pretty good, the PIAAs seem a bit overpriced, I would rather funnel the $ towards retro-tsx or rx330 projectors.

Problem is i can't seem to find a place online at least not a reputable one that have those nighthawks . Would love to try them out.

Was looking something with a bluish tint for the fog light replacement and bright white for main.

H11's are not HIR 9011/9012. Very different application. H11's are just H11's and fit in the low beam and fog lights of the Gen 6.

9005= HIR 9011
9006= HIR 9012
Well, kind of. You have to modify the tabs to make the HIR's fit in the 9005/9006 housings.

H11 bulb:

HIR 9011 and 9012:
