Gen6 Keyless does not unless but starts car

07 XLEv6 11k miles not tranny problem yet

My FOB used to unlock the door(s) just fine now it does not. It will still start the car.

Wife's FOB will unlock driver or passenger door(s) and start.

I read nissan had a problem with their keyless FOB and cell phones.

Could Toyota has the same issue?

Unless there are two batteries I would think the battery would be ok since it starts the car just fine. Also the FOB unlock button works from 50 yards away.

ANyone know how these keyless FOBs work?

Yes, I know how they work.

Batteries have nothing to do with starting the car either.

You initially say that it doesn't work and now you say that it works from 50 yards away.

According to you it now works.

What I was try to convey was that pressing the unlock button on the FOB works from 50 yards away which to me seems like a decent battery strength. I'll have the dealer (Laural Toyota in MD is excellent just a hike to get there for me) take a look at it.
