USA Got the wheels, Now I need tires - Recommendations Please

Sup All-

So I have my rims now, (TSW Sakata's) and now I need tires.

I want 225/45r18's and I want a QUIET ride. I purchased ToyoProxes 4 and they they are VERY LOUD so they are going back.

So that brings me back to the tire arena. What do you recommend for a solid performance tire that is quiet?

I have been locking at reviews for the Yokohama AVS ES100m Falken Zeik 912 and the Pirelli Pzero Nero and they all rate fairly decent.

Drop me a response-

T~

Funny I gave a co worker a ride in my Camry and he was shocked how quiet my Proxes 4 are high and low speeds.

Check out the Tire Rack-best source re noise/comfort/performance rating etc. Usually ultra/high performance tires sacrifice comfort/low noise because their more agressive tread patterns favors handling. Yokohama Avid S4 actually had good ratings across the board. Good luck.

I actually have the yokos you're referring to, their in my sig. They're a nice ride, good responsiveness and goddamn they hug the turns. I did some tests and turns that I used to have to slow down to like 40-45 on, I can now take at 55-60 and i'm actually hugging the inside line without having to fight the force of the turn trying to drive the car out of the curve. Not to mention hydroplaning is no longer a factor with these wheels. All sorts of hotness. They're a bit louder than my Hankook tires but nothing that's annoying.

nitto tires are known to be pretty soft so they should be quiet. I have the invos and I love them, I cant compare to the Toyo however, except my stock tires were toyo and they were louder but they were also very worn when I was taking notice to the noise.

I had Falken , Nitto NT555 and now Pirelli Pzero.
Here is the order #1 is best for quiet and performance. This is my personal reference only.
1. Pirelli
2. Nitto
3. Falken
But for the best value I would recommend the Nitto NT555 because the price is just right for what you are getting.

Yea, I have Falken Ziex 512's on right now, and they are LOUD... probably cuz they are low profile (245/40/18)... gonna go 235/45/18 with a different brand for my next set

Gen5 Nankang NS-II

I have some 225/45R-18 Nankang NS-II on the way, so I'll let you know how the noise level is on those. I got them for $71 + $10 shipping/ea.

Right now most of my noise is coming from the sunroof (which is next on the list to "fix").

What about Michelin Pilot Sport All Season

I have them on my wife's 2006 Avalon Limited [SET Ground Effects Package with 18" BBS CV wheels). Excellent grip, great ride, low noise.
