as I'm still looking into the turbos I have a hunch I need to redo my exhaust because the stock will restrict the output if it's increased especially, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with boosted engines etc and know if the trd exhaust would be enough to run a mild to medium turbo setup we're talking 300hp max on the I4 , and I'm also wondering is an axle-back enough or should I go with a full cat-back, but I was taking a look under the car when I put the RSB in and it doesnt seem too small comming from the front so not sure if it'd be necessary
also last question just to make sure trd exhaust for 05-06 is just a bolt on? somehow that didn't register to me before until I just read it, realized I can do that myself too save a couple bux
thanks for input once again

No, the TRD exhaust would not be enough. The TRD exhaust is only an axle-back. For a turbo setup, you would need to redo your entire exhaust system basically from the headers on back.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
any idea what the flow rate differences would be? because power wise the stock V6 is in about the same range and it seems to be enough...
atm I'm looking to boosting it a low to mid rpm so the only problem I would see is probably in the mid range because there wouldn't be much addition in the high rpm range as the turbo will top out
The turbo will be a huge exhaust restriction in itself. They quiet down the exhaust alot. That's why some turbo cars don't even use a muffler (think STS).
I'm sure that the TRD muffler (axle back) will work fine.
alright more along the lines that I was thinking on that one just needed to make sure heh,
btw just to confirm the trd exhaust is a bolt on no welding required?
if you're doin a turbo, and gonna spend big bucks for performance increase, it would make sense to flare out your exhaust. sure the stock exhaust will "work" but it will restrict your flow and you won't get the full potential out of the turbo.
regardless, with a turbo, you will change your header (ex manifold) and downpipe. to increase your piping from cat back cannot cost more than 200 to 300 bux so not to worry bro. if you can afford the turbo, the piping is minimal.

Yep, the axle back (muffler) bolts onto the flange right by the rear suspension and slips into the factory hangers. It couldn't go on any easier.
If it were me spending $$$ on a turbo set up and I didn't know the answers to such things, I would be engaged with a trusted mechanic/tuner locally that can help so I don't end up completely blowing up the car.
Just my .02

and since I don't have one that I can truly trust atm, thought I had one but yeah that's how mechanics go I guess lol, and yeah I'm still doing all research on my own as I have so far on the car and probably saved a bunch of $ because I ended up doing it all myself so far, turbo wise most of the parts I have a sense of now it's the question of $ and the specific parts but I pretty much selected what sizes I want nad what brands I'll go with, atm it's just finding a good place for a new custom headers and al lthe piping and a good tune (I have an idea already where atm but no need to go there until I don't have everything yet which will take at least a couple months and if I get into the winter doubt I'll do it all in the snow etc might just wait for spring) and exhaust I can do myself atm apparently which will be at least a part of it, and johny I know I will have to upgrade from stock but I just wondered if the trd one will be enough, I thought it would be just needed a second opinion to make sure
