so, i'm going to get a new(aftermarket) muffler for my car, but i want to know if anyone has measured all that crap.
inlet? outlet? length?
i've been looking at hks, and apex'i. i'd really like to see how well the greddy evo2 (catback or axle-back, i dont remember how they state it) for the gen 1-1.5 could be modded to fit, but i dont want to spend that cash and not know for sure.
and, i know that 4million of you are going to say get the trd muffler. i dont want to be like everyone else. so there.
i don't know if this will help, but someone stated in a previous thread (i think it was WhiteChocolate) Any muffler will fit, it's just a matter of doing a custom job. And the inlet/outlet size depends on the airflow you want. Which will lead to the sound. Next week i'm doing a catback (already have the muffler on there, now i can afford to do the rest) and will either do 2.25 or 2.5 stainless steel pipes from the new cat on back..
as far as the custom job...im not going for performance, and im looking for a slightly more aggresive tone, but what im getting at is i want a muffler that when the stock is cut off, fits in the hole(blunt way of putting it,, but i hope you know what i mean)
im lookin for a pop one off pop the other one on sorta thing.

in that case you should get the TRD axle-back exhaust... it's the only one that's bolt-on... any other aftermarket muffler will require welding in order to fit...
