5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
really how are the sound, hp, and tourqe improvments?
it gives a nice little growl at low end and once you push it and hit VVTI it doesn't give you that ricy sound. Pretty deep sound. The HP and torque improvement are minimal from what i feel but its a little more responsive.

It's odd how you say that it's more responsive when the intake velocity surely isn't affected after the throttle body or more importantly, at the intake valve.
There is no way any gain (if there even is one) is actually felt.
The only noticeable difference will be the sound of the air intake. That's all. That's the truth. That's a FACT.
An electric supercharger will add the same gain but costs alot less.

Seriously, give it up. Talk about beating a dead horse again and again and again.

Actually, the dead horse is the inaccurate information that keeps being passed on about CAI's and SRI's by people who have no clue what they're talking about.
I wouldn't reply, if people wouldn't lie. Mmmm, that kinda sounds like something the Rev. Jesse Jackass Jackson would say...

The problem is that many people on this forum (me included) already know the deal with intakes. They're nice to hear and to dress up the intake, but short of having a Corvette or another high performance sports car, they're not usually cost effective in terms of HP/Torque. Let everyone else believe what they want...they'll find out the "truth" after they bought a $300 intake and realize that it doesn't give them the "feel" of power they were expecting. You don't have to point out every little dumb post on the message board, and the spelling/grammar smack is weak sauce too.
Truth be told your schtick is getting kind of tiresome. Feel free to disagree. That's all I'm going to say about it. Now as far as the K&N Short Ram for the 2006 V6 Camry, I think they do a nice job standing out in the engine bay. For that reason alone I might get one.

But many do not "know the deal" with intakes, and take such advice. That's why many people come to places like TN.
You don't need to troll behind me when I post. That's about as weak as it gets. It's not tiresome though. It's a little bit humorous to see you follow me around.
I would rather clarify some FACTS, than TROLL anyday.

Obviously you don't know what a TROLL is. Just another internet know it all asshole with too much time on their hands.
One piece of advice...get off your high horse first. Clarifying facts...that's good. You must think VERY highly of yourself in here, although I don't remember anyone asking for your opinion or help specifically regarding this matter. You can try and pick a fight all you want, but you're replys from here on out are pretty ridiculous when you state under your screen name you're the source of "facts" on toyotanation...that's quite a slippery slope you're on. Don't slip too far down.
Oh wait now you have a new catch phrase. Clever, but in truth a lame attempt. You must go through these pretty often. Try again Todd Pauman.

You really need to get a grip and return things to their proper perspective.
It never said that I'm the source of facts on TN under my screen name.
You're on a slippery slope of stupidity, to which you've already hit the bottom.
Clever? In truth a lame attempt? Apparently, you haven't been viewing my avatar for very long. I change it quite often. Most of the time it's to add a little humor.
It's funny, I remember people asking my opinion all the time. It happens quite frequently here. In fact, about an hour ago I returned another member's PM.
That's pretty slick. You can click on the link in my sig and read my name. You're a genious.
Love the ignore feature in here. I get to seperate the crap from the useful.
Can someone recap what Weak Sauce posted? Did he mention his Formula again (like anyone gives a flying shit)? Or did he brag he went drag racing, won some meaningless race and then went out to Chuck E Cheese with his daddy for pizza?
Gotta love Southerners. They love to talk but they get all pissy and can't take it from someone else.
