5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Tried downloading 2007 - Gen 6 manuals at work - high speed network. It starts out downloading; then parks.
Tried from the house tonight - dial-up - after about 5 mins get an Adobe "a file i/o error has occurred".
This is a very, very common problem I'm seeing on my site. 2 Things you can try. First, use Firefox and Foxit pdf reader, all your problems will be gone.
Or you can try right clicking the link in IE, select open in new window, and you will get a save as prompt for the file.
Right clicking to save to HD results in the following error msg:
IE was not able to open this internet site - site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Firefox isn't going to help this situation.
These "free manual" sites generally do not survive very long. Car mfgs. go after people who post FSMs for newer car models. After about 8-10 years, they don't care anymore, but for newer models, they do. The car MFGs sell these either in hard cover form or electronically for a fee. When you post this type of material for internet distribution w/o their approval, you'll soon receive an "electronic visit" from the mfg's lawyers or duly appointmnet reps.
Eventually these sites get taken down and the guy who set it up will move it elsewhere 'til he gets caught again. You often times find these car manuals at university web sites until the car mfg contacts the university.
I'll buy a 1 day $10 subscription from Toyota and download the '07 manuals.

That's the smart way.
You'll be able to download any service manual updates and the latest TSB's also.
From watching the threads being posted at camrymanuals.com it would appear that none of the manuals are accessible using IE. You must use Firefox in order to access.
Even with Firefox, you must right-click and save-as; you cannot download.
We've put a new download system in place, the problems *should* be fixed regardless of browser/configuration. Post successes and failures in THIS thread.
