I have my car now wired up for "stalk"
however when i have the car on, and have the parking lights on (which allows the fog lights as well), the DRL also come on, which basically ruins what i was going for.
does anyone know how to disable the DRL for parking light modes only ?
I still want the DRL for daily driving, I just don't want them to come on while i am lurking
the only fix I can think of is to have a switch to disable them but i really didn't want to do that .....
thanks

On my 07 LE the park position disables the "auto DRL". Discribe how you connected the fog lights into the circuit, please. List where each connection and what it is used for in the fog light circuit. Thank You.

Actually, the park position does not disable the "DRL". The DRL is "off" when your gear is in "P". As soon as soon shift to R or D...the DRL will come on.

That's wierd because on mine, the DRL's only turn off on the "Disable DRL" position or whatever it's called, as soon as I change it to the parking lights , the DRL's are back on. And IIRC it didn't matter if the car was in Park or not, they were on at all times.

I will have to go home and check this out on mine. I will report my results then.

Just orange parking lights, No DRL's or headlights. He meant "Stalk" as in "Lurking", "Stalking", or not being as noticeable.

that is what i believe mine does too
i guess i will have to check
but regardless, i do like to drive with parking lights sometimes too (well parking lights and fogs and low driving lights work well in snow / major fog)

The operation of the DRL is normal. Try this:
1) Apply Parking Brake [1 notch will do]. (PB indicates on the dash when in run. )
2) Start engine.
3) Turn on parking lamps. {NO DRL}
4) Shift into any gear if you want to {NO DRL}
If you release the Parking Brake, the DRL function returns to normal. This can only be set with the engine OFF[!!] then to start/run.
Do you get any ideas from this?
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
