Hey guys,
I'm looking into purchasing a 10" Sub for my 07 SE Camry. The Box I am going to us can be found here http://www.bassforms.com/bassforms/camary.html
I have been talking with them for quite some time, I was originally a little hesitant, jsut because they misspelled "Camary" on their web address. Either way, there are two models of sub enclosures, the first is for 2000-2006 models, the second is for 07 and 08.
Anyway can you recommend a 10" sub. I want as much boom as I am going to get out of a 10" sub. I was looking at Pioneer's Premiere line of subs and their specs look decent, but I figured I would consult the audio experts here at TN.
It is going to be wired to the stock head unit.
Thanks!
i would go for Digital Designs for a really big boom. the JL 10w7 also has a huge capacity for boom. budget also comes into play. heard good stuff about alpine type-x
many choices to choose from if you want to go with the spl route, but the main thing will factor down to the enclosure of the sub. That is one of the main factor of how the whole setup will sound.
You can make a nice box with 2 10" that will give a nice BOOOOOMM for less than $250.00. It'll save you $20 bucks. Nice MDF, with carpet. But hey, you got $270 to throw around for one box, go for it.

Ya I don't really have the extra money to toss around, but I also don't want to compromise any space for my golf clubs, gym clothes, and work related stuff. Our trunks are huge and I would like to keep it that way.
I also realize that a single 10" isn't going to provide a rediculous amount of bass, but I am going to install a great 10" sub, working within my constraints.

whatever you get, make sure that you match the amp, if the sub gets 400W RMS @ 4ohms, make sure you give it anywhere from 380-420 W RMS @ 4 ohms, the sam for 2ohms, I recommend a DVC so you can wire it and get the right amount of ohm to match amp.
I recommend.....JL Audio, Infinity Perfect, and MB Quart. But anything you get you must make sure to provide it the right, amount of power, not too muc or to little

Whats a DVC??
Also I've been told that it is preferrable to have an amp that is alghtly higher rated and then turn it down a bit so it's not overworked. But ya I would definately try and match the two! I even try to stay within the same brand for both the sub and amp.
