Yes, they are legit. I, along with other members here, bought their TRD springs from there.

Cost of install depends on the dealership or shop. If you have them installed by the dealership, it will not void your warranty.

This is straight copy and paste from the TRD catalog p.33

"TRD SPORT PARTS

TRD SPORT PARTS INSTALLED BY A DEALER

TRD Sport Parts are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the
date of installation or for the balance of the new car warranty in force
on the date of installation, whichever is greater, when TRD Sport Parts
are installed by an authorized Toyota or Scion Dealer. Superchargers
carry the same warranty, but the coverage is 12 months or 12,000 miles
from the date of installation or the balance of the new car 5 year,
60,000 mile powertrain warranty in force at the time of installation.
This warranty does not cover maintenance services such as replacement
of brake pads/linings and clutch linings. This warranty does not cover
noise, vibration, cosmetic conditions and other deterioration caused
by normal wear and tear.
TRD customers are responsible for ensuring that the use of any TRD
Sport Part complies with all applicable federal, state or local laws,
regulations and ordinances.

TRD SPORT PARTS NOT INSTALLED BY A DEALER

TRD Sport Parts installed by anyone other than an authorized Toyota
or Scion dealer are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from
the date of purchase only and the warranty coverage is limited to the
replacement value of the TRD Sport Part. Superchargers carry the
same coverage.

This warranty does not cover maintenance services such as replacement
of brake pads/linings and clutch linings. This warranty does not cover
noise, vibration, cosmetic conditions and other deterioration caused
by normal wear and tear. Part failure caused by improper installation
by anyone other than an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer may void
the TRD Sport Part warranty, the new vehicle warranty or both.
TRD customers are responsible for ensuring that the use of any TRD
Sport Part complies with all applicable federal, state or local laws,
regulations and ordinances."

doubt it, alignment is normal wear and tear...unless it was caused by the springs sagging?

Eddie: Thanks for posting that, but it refers to the warranty coverage of the 'sports parts' not the installation of said parts potential voiding of otherwise warranted items...when the TRD part isn't installed by a dealer.

I think that is the question being posed. Say for example, you have a front end problem...will you have warranty issues if your TRD springs weren't installed by a stealership.

This here tells me that if the part is installed correctly by anyone other than an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer it wont void the warranty.

Same catalog, same page, but its talking about "Off-Highway use parts" which the TRD springs are NOT part of. That would mean the following paragraph does NOT apply to them.

"Installation of Race or Off-Highway Use Parts may adversely affect the
warranty coverage on your vehicle. The addition of Race or Off-Highway
Use Parts on a vehicle is not covered by the vehicle warranty and any
failure that they may cause is also not covered by the vehicle warranty.
Race or Off-Highway Use Parts may not be installed by a Toyota or
Scion dealer on a vehicle intended for use on public roads. Race or
Off-Highway Use Parts should not be sold or financed in conjunction
with the sale of a new vehicle."

EDIT:
Call and ask for yourself! "FOR MORE INFORMATION ON TRD PARTS, ACCESSORIES
OR WARRANTY, PLEASE CALL 800-688-5912."

I was quoted anywhere from $400-$600 for the install.
